Seltene Ausgabe dieses mehrfach aufgelegten und 1631 in Hamburg erstmals veröffentlichten Werkes. "One of the most frequently reprinted works of chemical pharmacy was the 'Thesaurus' of Adrian Mynsicht... It purported to reveal to the 'sons of doctrin and wisdom' a most secret way of compounding drugs based on his own experience and practice... With the 'Thesaurus' was usually printed the poetical Testament of Hadrian concerning the philosophers' stone" (Thorndike). - Mynsicht (1603-1638) heißt eigentlich Adrian Seumenicht, studierte in Helmstedt Medizin und war Leibarzt des Herzogs Friedrich von Mecklenburg. Er gilt als tüchtiger Chemiker, entdeckt den Brechweinstein und stellt mit Vorliebe chemische, paracelsische Arzneien her. - Vorsatz mit handschriftlichem Besitzeintrag und Titel mit Prägestempel, sonst nahezu fleckenfreies Exemplar in guter Erhaltung. - Partington II, 178; Ferguson II, 122 (Anm.); Thorndike VIII, 84; Brüning 2821; vgl.
