Die bei Kopp und Schmieder erwähnte Ausgabe Frankfurt 1647 ist für uns nicht nachweisbar. - "Polemann, also otherwise unknown, wrote a 'New Light of Medicine', experimented by heating red copper ore with sal ammoniac (obtaining green cupric chloride) and treating the distillate with spirit of wine and spirit of volatile alkali (ammonia). The result was disappointing, a damnable and pernicious vomitive. Metallic sulphurs need stronger solvents than mineral sulphurs, since they are firmly and compactly combined with their mercury.
