Von Erlach measured by phosphor- and carbonate-eudiometers gravimetrically oxygen intake and carbon dioxide productio... The obtained results are - considering the difficult measuring method - within a realistic range and presumably represent the first comprehensible data of gaseous metabolism in animals at all. In this paper the experimental settings and the process of the analysis are described in detail including the discussion of the obtained results" (R. Prinzinger und J.
