In his preface, the German translator, Friedrich Wolff, gives a good account of the controversy between Kirwan and the 'antiphlogistonists' in which he himself comes out in favor of the new doctrines, although with some reservations" (D-K). - Stellenweise gering gebräunt bzw. stockfleckig.
